The Color Sequence

The Path uses de Bono's Six Thinking Hats color coding, but applies it to Productive Tension levels:

White (Current Situation)

Aligns with Apathy-level tension. "What is?"

Green (Aspirational)

Aligns with Power-Apathy. "What could be?"

Black (Obstacles)

Aligns with Power-Stress. "What's in the way?"

Yellow (Solutions)

Aligns with Power/Power-Stress boundary. "What works?"

Red (Validation)

Aligns with Stress. "What do I feel about this?"

Why It Works

This sequencing prevents premature energy dissipation. Instead of jumping to solutions (Yellow) before understanding the situation (White) or obstacles (Black), it deliberately manages the tension level to match the cognitive task.
