Beyond Reframing
What This Course Covers
Most people hear "reframing" and think it means putting a positive spin on something. That's like calling a complete set of surgical instruments "a knife." Beyond Reframing covers the full system of 27 language patterns that NLP identified for working with belief structures — the linguistic moves that maintain, shift, dissolve, and reconstruct the frames through which people experience reality.
These aren't tricks. They're the structural patterns that already operate in every conversation you've ever had. The difference is: after this course, you'll know what they are, when you're using them, and how to choose them deliberately.
What This Course Doesn't Cover
This isn't an NLP Practitioner certification. It doesn't cover the full NLP curriculum — anchoring, timeline work, submodalities, or the rest of the toolkit. It's focused specifically on the language patterns and how to use them. If you want the full NLP foundation, start with the NLP resource and let it guide you from there.
It's also not a sales or persuasion course. The same patterns can be used ethically in marketing and copywriting — and we touch on that — but the primary orientation is personal development and coaching applications. If you want to use these for manipulation, you'll have to supply your own ethics. And honestly, you probably won't enjoy this course.
Who It's For
Coaches and therapists who want more precision in how they use language with clients. You already know that the right question at the right moment can change everything. This gives you the full map of what those moments are and what makes them work.
Communicators — writers, marketers, leaders who sense that language does more than carry information and want to understand the mechanism. If you've ever rewritten a sentence three times to get the nuance right, you're already doing this intuitively. This makes it deliberate.
Lifelong learners who are curious about the structure of subjective experience and enjoy having a framework for things you've been doing without naming them.
Who It's Not For
If you're looking for quick persuasion techniques to "get people to do what you want" — this isn't that. The patterns work, but they work because they reflect genuine structure, not because they bypass judgment.
If you're brand new to NLP and want the broad foundation first — start with the NLP resource page and the anchor article. This course assumes you've at least encountered the idea that language and experience are structurally connected.
If you want interactive skill development but aren't willing to invest in a cohort or individual sessions — the self-guided materials are reference and practice tools, not a substitute for live coaching. The mindmaps are excellent. They won't give you feedback on your pattern usage. That's what the other tiers are for.
What You'll Actually Get
The self-guided version includes:
- The reference mindmap — all 27 patterns in their groupings, withnotes on when and how each one operates. This is your navigation tool. It's currently closer to a presentation slide than a full manual — functional but still being fleshed out with supporting detail.
- The worksheet mindmap — a blank practice template. You bring a real situation from your life or work and fill in all 27 patterns. Work through them in order, or jump around. Rearrange the map if it helps you see connections.
- Worked examples — at least one completed from Wayne's practice and one from a student/client. See how the same situation looks through different pattern lenses, and how different people find different patterns accessible or challenging.
- Audio walkthrough (initial release) — an existing audio recording that walks through the patterns. This will be replaced by a video walkthrough as soon as it's recorded.
- Live Q&A session — initially a weekly standing appointment where you can bring questions. Once there are enough participants or I've recorded the full video walkthrough, the Q&A shifts to monthly. This is aimed at self-guided learners — cohort and individual participants get their interaction built into their sessions.
The Three Tiers
Self-Guided (available now) — You get the mindmaps, the audio, and access to the live Q&A. Work at your own pace. This is the materials-only tier: the information without the skill development that comes from feedback and interaction.
Group Cohort — Four weekly sessions with a small group. We work through the patterns together, you practice in real time, you get feedback from me and from peers. The group experience is where the patterns move from intellectual understanding to something you can actually use. No sessions currently scheduled — register and if a cohort doesn't form within a month, you get a private session with me. That stacks: register two months ahead, get two private sessions. It's the early-bird bonus and the fallback in one.
Individual — Six private sessions. We use your actual situations — your clients, your writing, your relationships — as the practice material. This is the fastest path to using the patterns deliberately and well. Available on your schedule, subject to my availability.
Is This Right For You Right Now?
You're in the right place if:
- You've spent enough time with NLP concepts to know there's something here worth pursuing
- You want the complete map, not a greatest-hits sampler
- You're willing to practice — the worksheet mindmap only helps if you actually fill it in
- You're ok with the materials being slightly unfinished — the audio is good but not final, the reference mindmap is evolving, and the video walkthrough is coming
If that sounds like you, pick your tier. If you're not sure, start with the self-guided materials — everything you spend there applies toward the cohort or individual tiers if you want to go deeper.
Every dollar you invest in this course applies as credit toward a higher tier. Self-guided purchase? That amount comes off the cohort price. Cohort fee later? That comes off individual pricing. Your investment stacks within this offering — it just doesn't transfer to other courses.
